Retinal Photography is a specialized medical imaging test used to take a picture of the retina and optic nerve. Fundus photography is a short painless procedure that may require a dilation. Most medical insurances will cover fundus photography if it gives information not obtained during the regular exam, aids in diagnosis, management, and treatment of known disease. Fee for fundus photos with a medical diagnosis is $80.00. We will bill your medical insurance; most will pay if you have met your deductible. You will be charged for any remaining balance that insurance does not cover. Fee for screening fundus photos without a medical diagnosis will be $39.00. Please let Dr. Shin know if you would like your retinal photos e-mailed to you!

A contact lens examination determines whether contact lenses are fitting well, eyes are healthy from contact lens wear, and prescription gives the best vision possible. Additional fee for the contact lens examination is expected at the time of service and is non-refundable.

Contact lens exam fee: $50 established & $85 new wearer, includes 4 follow-up appointments as necessary within 90 days. You will be charged an office visit of $35 for the Dr. to examine your contact lenses after 4 follow-up visits or 90 days.
